TOUR DAY 6 transit bus - tender - boat
ITALICS TOUR DESCRIPTION

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. En route, you will enjoy a refreshment break. Continuation toward Halong Bay, where you will meet the crew upon arrival and board the traditional wooden junk. You will have some free time to relax in your cabin before enjoying lunch on board while the boat heads toward the secluded islands.

In the afternoon, you will visit an ancient limestone cave and go sea kayaking and swimming (if weather permits). You will return to the junk refreshed and invigorated, just in time to relax on the deck with a drink to watch the sunset. For your evening dinner on board, enjoy a meal prepared with local products and seafood.
Overnight on board. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Our first comfort spot.

Not on the agenda, a stop at a pearl factory. No one bought anything as it was overpriced.
We had seen pearls in China.

We had been told yesterday that seven of us would be on another boat in Halong Bay along with Tiem. We were the last seven people who signed up. Us, John, Gerry, and the Iranian trio. This was fine with us. We dropped the other 12 off at their boat.

We were sorry we didn't do Halong Bay the last time we were in Vietnam. So here we are!

Tender out to our ship.

Our crew awaiting!

We didn't have any time to relax as suggested as lunch was ready when we boarded.

The cabins were comfortable.

Unfortunately the sun never came out.

Ha Long Bay (Vịnh Hạ Long) is a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site in northeastern Vietnam, famous for its emerald waters, dense rainforests, and thousands of towering limestone islands and islets, creating a surreal seascape of karst formations. Visitors explore via junk boat cruises, kayaking, hiking, and cave exploration, with popular activities including visiting floating fishing villages, rock climbing, and enjoying beaches.

Some people went to the beach, and we considered doing the sampan to the caves, but got lazy and sat with John PS. He had booked the speed boat (300,000 dong) but also decided to skip it.
We decided that it is beautiful but it is too crowded with all the day boats and overnight boats.

We thought we might get a sunset!

We went up for happy hour.

Dinner were delicious.

Well, it seems the quiet group had the better night! The other boat were all in bed by 10!!!
