I'm linking up at Monday Mural
August 2025 - Montreal QC
A small collection (3) of murals we found in Montreal.

The artwork, a collaborative effort by two local artists of Asian descent — Bryan Beyung and Gene Pendon — is titled “May an Old Song Open a New World.”
Produced by the MU, a charitable non-profit organization whose mandate is to “transform Montreal’s public spaces by creating murals that are rooted in local communities,” the painting features the image of a Chinese female opera singer against a bright red background.“The central figure is a female singer for the Beijing Opera, and we took different examples of female performers and created a new one,” Pendon explained.
Maxilie Martel, aka Mono Sourcil, is a young multidisciplinary mural artist born in Montreal in 1989.
...the first one is a beautiful color explosion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tom! Though they are all a joy to see.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful murals, my favourite is the first one. Thanks for contributing to Monday Murals Jackie.
ReplyDeleteThey are all great. The first one with its use of red really grabs the eyes.
