Signs

Wordless Wednesday Wordless Be There 2day

August 2025 - Montreal QC

Montreal has a strong summer patio vibe with tables and chairs set outside. There quite a few streets that are set up as pedestrian only such as Prince Arthur.
This means the restaurant servers have to dodge pedestrians, dog walkers, cyclists, delivery guys, while carrying trays of drinks and food.
See server leaning on the sign, outside a restaurant.

Souvenirs/signs found in Old Montreal. I did have to buy an overpriced poutine dishtowel!

Tabarnak" is a popular Québécois French swear word, originating from the French word "tabernacle" (the box holding consecrated hosts in a Catholic church). It's used to express strong emotions like anger, frustration, or surprise, similar to English expletives like "damn" or "hell". In Montreal, it's a common part of the local vocabulary.
I can attest that it is used A LOT!!

In Québec French, the correct spelling is « J’m’en câlisse » and not « j’m’en câlice ». Come on, les boyz!
Also available in license plates!
