Day 4 - London/Birmingham

An easy day today. Up late and strolled out for breakfast, opting out of the full English offered by the hotel.
On the way to Costa, lots of police cars escorting politicians to the Opening of Parliament.

Back to hotel and watched a bit of the opening of Parliament.
Time to grab a cab and head to Euston Station for the our trip to Birmingham.

And what do the guys choose to eat instead?? Krispy Kreme no less.

Now these golf bags certainly caused a kerfuffle on the train. Conductor moved us to the quiet area at front of train, asked a woman to move out of her reserved seat (I'm sure he put her in first class) to make room for us.

Checked into hotel in Birmingham. I really like the Ibis chain, good rooms, great price. More about them later.

Must be time for a pint...

The sign over the door says (from my pictures last October):

Time to show the guys some real shopping at the Bull Ring

Time to get ready to meet Tanya and Andrew for drinks.

To Arcadian Court to catch up with Karen and Blair for dinner.

Lots of good food, pate, pasta, mussels, lamb, chicken and tiramisu.
