House Updates

The renovations are ongoing. DH picked up the tiles for the porch.  They are from Home Depot and he finally tracked done the ones we wanted yesterday. they are sand coloured.  This will keep it warmer in the winter and be tidier looking than the carpets that are there now (more for the decluttering project)!!
Carpets soon to be replaced:

Bathroom Reno - Finally

Finally have everyone's schedules coordinated and they started demolishing the bathroom upstairs.

I forgot to take some photos when it was still "decorated", I took these once we had removed all the pictures and fancy towels out!

This is what I came home to last night.

Remnants of old turquoise tub from when we moved in. We had Bath Fitters cover it many years ago and didn't think I'd ever see it to get a photo!

Today they are removing all the stuff and getting ready to start the plumbing. Some minor adjustments have to made to the plan as the sink I selected

By the end of the day this was much fuller.

The rad may be replaced by a heated floor, the contractor called today to see if I liked that idea. I said yes, as it had been on my original wish list.
We're gaining inches as the walls are demolished. Obviously someone had built new wall over this charming tile from well before our purchase of the house!

Bathroom Renovation - Wish List

We must get our bathroom renovated, nothing's been really done to it since we moved in. Other than replacing the TURQUOISE BLUE  toilet, sink and bath and stuck some stick-on tiles on the floor.
So I am going to track my wish list here.
It needs a vent installed as well.
Or even a floor warmer!

8x10 or 12x12 travertine tiles on all the walls - floor to ceiling.

Replace the tub with a walk- in shower. Found some great images.
Not sure I like the wall though, the idea is to open up the space. It must have a bench and a safety bar though as well as lighting.

Remove the medicine cabinet. Large mirror with lighting at sides.

Gut the closet and re-do. I already posted this picture but will include here. Rolling the towels make total sense and looks really nice. Now if only the cat didn't love clean towels from the laundry. He has pulled the threads in so many of them!

Sink must have towel rack attached.

I think a pocket door would be perfect as well and there would be room.
