FIRE

One Word Sunday

February 2017 - El Quelite Mazatlan

Ancient Aztecs performed a fire dance dedicated to Xiuhtecuhtli, the god of fire. The Aztec fire dance is performed today for tourists in Mexico.

Too bad he didn't move the lighter LOL!

Thanks to everyone who brought us some fire last week. Special thanks go to Janet for a positive side of wild fires; to Su for some fiery food; to Jackie for sharing some pain; to Ken for some stunningly fiery colours; and to TiongHan for a beautiful image of candles.

  1. I like the juxtaposition of the ancient dance and the modern lighter lying on the ground.
