A lazy weekend, some movies. I watched The Lady in the Van, a touching British movie starring Maggie Smith. We also watched The Good Year with Russell Crowe, a feel-good no brainer made a few years ago.
Monday we took our cameras into Canon, one for cleaning and left two there for recycling.
Then to Ikea looking for a cabinet for glasses and dishes storage. Nothing appealed to us so John suggested we remove the top from ours and see if that worked. It did!
BEFORE taken a few years ago, most of the stuff on top has changed.
AFTER gone is the empty space between them.
Made an appointment with a closer organizer place to come next week to look at our bedroom closets.
Finally smashed and got rid of four hard drives that had moved with us four years ago!!
Did some more decluttering, books to library.
Arranged for 1-800 Got Junk to come next week to pick up some stuff so we can buy the new desk for the spare room.
Tuesday was lunch at Aroma, Indian buffet. It was so good we didn't have room for dinner.
The photos aren't pretty but the goat, beef roshan, chicken tikka malsala were great. Especially the goat gravy with the naan bread, yummy! John also had the pakoras, samosas and butter chicken.
Then a movie Batman v Superman - the story line was very disjointed. John enjoyed it was just ok for me.
Wednesday John registered for the men's Golf League. Then dinner with a friend to plan their trip to the Ryder Cup!!!
Thursday was a trip to the market. We stocked up on meat, ground beef, ground lamb, lamb chops, steaks, chicken, and the butcher threw in four hot sausages and a jar of rub. Then some fruits and vegetables.
Friday john golfed and I met my BFF and we checked out the new H & M home store as well as some others stores along with lunch at Red Lobster, I haven't been in there in years, it sure does need a facelift. We both had soup and salad with shrimp. I had the lobster bisque, quite good but the salad was an already prepared Caesar salad taken straight from the fridge.

I've heard good things about Lady in the Van -- I think Maggie Smith won some kind of acting award for it recently. The Indian buffet looks good. Haven't had any Indian food for awhile and now I'm craving some. Thanks for the interesting update.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. Cheers from Carole's Chatter!
ReplyDeleteThe smoothie sound delicious! Have a wonderful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteOh I love anything that stars Maggie Smith! Doesn't it feel great to declutter? I need to do more of that. And I like the IKEA cabinets pushed together ... good plan. That ginger-turmeric smoothie looks super!
ReplyDeleteI love Maggie Smith so that movie is going on my library list. They usually have a slew of good movies and the loaning period is generous, one week,
ReplyDeleteWow, you really did some cleaning out! The cabinets look good side by side.
It sounds like you've been busy.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks yummy and beautiful, but not healthy enough. Smoothie sounds the best.
