Friday Photo Finds

1. Starts with V
2. Week's Favorite
3. Sunshine

The first two will be the same, except we’ll work our way through the alphabet. The second can be a favorite image or activity from the week. The third will be different each time.

April 2016 - Toronto ON

Starts with V

Metro Hall has this sculpture of ladders that I walked past every day when I was working in that area. There isn't any title or description posted.

We were passing through recently on our way to lunch and I stopped to get photos and then thought "wonder if there is a V word"? We found VIRTUE.

.

I also looked up the sculpture and found this:

Consists of 25 custom-made aluminum ladders of various heights. The rungs of each ladder consist of different words that have been waterjet-cut out of a bar of aluminum. Each of the 350 separate rungs is a word selected from the "Synopsis of Categories" section of Roget's Thesaurus. The work merges an image of physical construction (ladders) with the elements of intellectual construction (words).

Week's favourite - spotted set-up outside Union Station.

Sunshine - Danforth pansies just say sunshine.
