Gao's Courtyard is a traditional Chinese dwelling in the Muslim quarter of Xian. The former residence of GaoYuesong, is located at 144 of Beiyuanmen. The construction of the courtyard is quadrangle with wood and brickThe courtyard buildings have exhibitions of period furniture, paintings, pottery, porcelain, photos as well as demonstrations of folk art, including a shadow puppet play with traditional music.
These shoes were on display in a bedroom.

  1. People didn't really wear these did they? Good gosh, I'd never be able to skip rope in them.

  2. Good question - now I'll have to look it up!
They looked like baby shoes. Pretty though, too bad they didn't sell something like them as souvenirs.
