Growing up my mother would make crepes on Shrove Tuesday, served with lemon and sugar.
We never had "pancakes". I'm not even sure when I first had pancakes.
Crepes are the first food I grab in France!
What a shame that before digital, we wouldn't waste film on food photos as I know I ate crepes from food stands in France.

There was a fabulous creperie in Winnipeg too when I lived there. Haven't had a decent one since! Tonight I will be making a savoury Dutch Baby pancake for dinner.
