It surprises me how few young Canadians know what a "serviette" is now. When they look at me uncomprehendingly, I have to specify "napkin" to clarify. Guess it's a generational thing and I'm the Old Fart.
I suppose Homo Milk is homogenised. Canadian Tire money beats me. (I Gogled this one) Toque I probably learnt from you. I don't know 'rolled up the rim to win', nor 'double - double'.
Tim Horton's does an annual (?) promotion where customers buy a coffee and roll up the rim of their cup (or play digitally in the app) for a chance to win prizes like free coffee, donuts, or even cars. Double-double is also Tim Horton-speak for ordering your brewed coffee with two creams and two sugars, providing a balanced sweet and creamy flavor. Gross!
