Sculpture

Located outside the Court House and close to Osgoode Hall.

The sculpture located at the Toronto courthouse (specifically the Superior Court of Justice at 361 University Avenue) is titled "Equal Before the Law". 

Artist: Eldon Garnet, a Canadian visual artist and novelist.
Installation Date: 2011/2012.
Location: Part of the McMurtry Gardens of Justice, located in the green space between the Toronto courthouse and Toronto City Hall.
Description: The sculpture features a life-sized bronze lion and a lamb, designed to represent the classic, contrasting figures of "king of beasts" (power/imposing) and the lamb (purity/vulnerability).
Symbolism: It signifies the legal principle that all individuals, regardless of their nature, are equal before and under the law.
