SkyWheel is a 187-foot tall (57.0 m) Ferris wheel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
When it opened on 20 May 2011 it was the second-tallest extant Ferris wheel in North America, after the 212-foot (64.6 m) Texas Star in Dallas, and the tallest wheel in the United States east of the Mississippi River

  1. It would be awesome to photograph at night as ferris wheels are often so colourful then.

  2. It looks very much like the London Eye or Singapore Flyer. Did you ride it? Although it doesn't look like the view would be all that interesting- just flat coastline?

  3. Love the geometry of the wheel and the way it fits in the landscape. Seems to fit in well with the activity of the beach.

  4. Gorgeous photos! I like the way you showed the wheel from different views. A wheel has been erected on the Seattle waterfront in recent years, but I haven't ridden it yet. Need to do that.

Just as well they look beautiful in all their roundness and geometric spokes :-)
