Monday Mural

I'm linking up at Monday Mural

August 2025 - Toronto ON

We came across a lot of new murals last week in our meanderings around town.

I found these on my wanderings along Yonge St. midtown last week.

Click here for another Dave's, also on Yonge, but downtown.

We tried Dave's hot chicken in 2023.

I posted this before, in 2023, photo taken in 2022, but with no context.
Meet Me at the Red Canoe Artist Marg Cresswell. An iconic cottage country scene.

A few murals we found along Danforth last week, in the rain. There were others we wanted but we were just too wet at that point.

Beside the new Donlands subway entrance. It is on the back of the building below.

Little Dribblers is North America’s FIRST and ONLY Children’s Basketball Facility and Program for mini-players ages 1 – 10 years old… with an educational spin!

Danforth is the heart of Greektown.

I love the real truck in this mural! I had been to a Kitchen Stuff Plus earlier that week at Yonge and Eglington, I had forgotten about this one!!

The Kawartha Dairy mural is a large, hand-painted artwork created by artist Sacha (Sacha Taylor) that features a timeless lakeside view with rustic elements like Muskoka chairs and canoes, aiming to bring the feeling of Ontario's cottage country to city locations, such as their 888 Danforth Avenue store. The mural integrates the company's logo with visuals that evoke their Canadian heritage and the natural landscape of the Kawarthas, connecting customers to the brand's history and community roots.

Snapped from the streetcar at Broadview.

And then I found this new one on Spadina on Friday!
On February 25, 1964 Cassius Clay, knocked out Sonny Liston for his first world title in boxing.
A photographer, Neil Leifer took what became an iconic photo at the Ali/Liston (1964) fight.
You can buy a print, if you can afford it!!

Artist, The Half Decent, painted a massive mural of the photo in a narrow alley at Spadina south of Queen W.

MURAL UPDATE

Previously there was a Emily May Rose mural on this wall. May 2021.
