JEROME Grand Hotel AZ


Overlooking the Verde Valley, the hotel is one of the highest buildings in the area. Five stories tall, the building is made out of concrete.
Originally built as the United Verde Hospital in the late 1920s, stories of supposed spirits lingering around the property were reported early on.
Back in this era the town's main attraction was its copper mining business, which would eventually come to a close in 1950. For years the town would wither away, only to come alive again in the 1970s.

I have been looking forward to the letter J!  There is a local chain of coffee shops in Toronto called "Jimmy's".
The decor in each unique location features famous Jimmys.

For the letter of the week for this round I am going to go with all things TTC, Toronto Transit Corporation.

Jane subway station is not an inspiring one.

The station's street entrances lead directly into the bus platform area in a layout that would not allow it to be readily brought into the station's fare-paid area. Until 1973 this was largely irrelevant because the station was on a fare zone boundary and the subway trains and some of the buses serving it were in separate zones.
