Drumheller Alberta - random post
Alberta is one of Canada’s two landlocked provinces, named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, a daughter of Queen Victoria. Spanning everything from the majestic Canadian Rockies to the badlands, it is a region defined by quirky world records, major culinary inventions, and fascinating geographical distinctions.
Rats? No thanks: Alberta is the largest permanently inhabited rat-free area in the world. It has been fiercely protected by aggressive control programs since the 1950s, making it strictly illegal to own or keep a pet rat anywhere in the province.
Dinosaur Capital: Alberta holds the highest concentration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Canada—with six total. This includes Dinosaur Provincial Park, where some of the world's most significant fossil beds are protected.
Covering the equivalent of 48 city blocks, the West Edmonton Mall was once the largest shopping mall in the world and still holds the title for the largest in North America.
