Let the Chips Fall Where They May

Today's subject is potato chips!! Dedicated to K!!

Lay's (known as Walkers in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Chipsy in Egypt, Poca in Vietnam, Tapuchips in Israel and Sabritas in Mexico) is the brand name for a number of potato chip varieties as well as the name of the company that founded the chip brand in 1932. Lay's chips has been marketed as a division of Frito-Lay, a company owned by PepsiCo since 1965.

You can find more useless fun information here.

March 2013 - Sedona Az

My favourite in the UK, cheese and onion taste a lot like these cheesy garlic bread. And as an aside, the cheesy garlic bread won the contest Lays were running for new flavours.

May 2012 - Czech Republic - potato sticks!

  1. What a fun post! Thanks for sharing all of these pictures! I haven't tried the Sriracha chips yet -- I had forgotten about them, I wonder if they're still out there....

Here is my SATURDAY SNAPSHOT post.

  5. I always find multinational brands like this a bit dispiriting, although it is interesting as a compare and contrast exercise. Chips aren't really my thing, having said that I think I would try the beef and yorkshire puddings. Although I am hoping to have the real thing in London in a few weeks- I've never had a yorkshire pudding....

  6. The Cheesy Garlic Bread flavour taste very much like the Walker's Cheese and Onion from the UK. Very tasty.

  7. I think it is best that I never try the Cheesy Garlic Bread chips--that is just too much deliciousness packed into one for me to control myself!

Thanks for taking part in Saturday Snapshot!
