Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme where we share new (to us) words that we’ve encountered in our reading and is hosted by Bermuda Onion.

  1. sedilia - "Triple sedilia and leaf capitals lined the towering walls." Plural noun - a group of seats for clergy in the south chancel wall of a church, usually three in number and often canopied and decorated.

  3. papped - "Jake is the only son and heir of Lord Joseph Timberland and he's been papped with some of society's hottest models." Verb - take a photograph of (a celebrity) without permission.

  6. I think I've heard bailey and papped before, but forgotten them. I don't like papped actually, but think it's come from papparazzi as others have suggested. Actually papparazzi is another concept I don't like either.
